Other activities that young people would like to try

 

A small number of young people listed other activities that were not included in the main list. It should be noted that many of these activities could have been fitted into the other categories on page three.

 

The extra activities mentioned included: paint-balling, go-carting, camping, rock climbing, abseiling, sky diving, PS3 games, cricket, shopping, fishing, motorbike riding, snow boarding, boxing, gymnastics, archery, ice skating, shooting, hairdressing, childcare, going out with friends, hip hop dancing, bike riding, hang-gliding, BMX riding, modeling, high jump, parachuting, basketball, majorettes, bunjie jumping, parachuting, debating and discussions, mini-rugby, quad biking and fencing.

 

Of the activities listed above, gymnastics was the most commonly mentioned by girls and cycling (including BMX biking) was the most commonly mentioned by boys.
