Wakefield District Youth Opportunities Fund and Youth Capital Fund
Application Guidelines

All applications must be from 3 or more named young people.

Applications for funding for Capital Projects in 2010~2011 (that is projects that involve building or buying something substantial) must be submitted by 28 February 2010.

Applications under £500 for activities can come in at any time provided they are from 3 or more named applicants.

All applications over £10,000 for activites planned to take place between 1 April 2010 and 31 March 2011 must be in by 28 FEBRUARY 2010.

There will be 4 application deadlines for grants between £500 and £10,000 to be spent between 1 April 2010 and 31 March 2011.
These will be :- 31 March 10
31 June 10
30 Sept 10
31 Dec 10
All funds must be spent by mid March 2011 except in exceptional circumstances by previous arrangement. - If the project will benefit a specific group of young people, all their names and dates of birth must be submitted with the bid.
Some reasons why your application maybe rejected:-

Activity too dangerous or no safeguards in operation

Project duplicates an existing project

Not value for money
-
Does not meet the criteria
-
All the money already allocated
-
Named beneficiaries have already benefitted from 3 YOF funded projects
-
Alternative funding is available.
